Sony has picked up "Black Dynamite" at the Sundance Film Festical. The company has agreed to pay around $2 million and will distribute in North America. Apparently, actors are signed up for a sequel and Sony's hoping that a summer release or sometime in the fall, will be able to spark up a franchise like "Friday" or the "Austin Powers" films. The cast includes Michael Jai White, Mykelti Williamson, Jimmy Walker Jr., Sean Christopher, Kevin Chapman, Richard Edson, Jon Kent Ethridge, Kym Whitley, Nakia Syvonne and Nicole Su.
